Hello everybody! I’m Chris and I’m going to tell you about a film I’ve watched recently and review it as a passionate of cinematography, not a professional.
ReplyDeleteThe movie I chose to talk about is called “Purple Hearts” and you can watch it on Netflix. The main characters are a Latina girl who moved to the USA and loves singing and a man wanted to recover his reputation by joining the army. They are quite opposites at first, but Cassie is diagnosed with diabetes and she can’t afford her insulin and Luke has to recover financially too. Because of their desperate situations, they think of a fake marriage, in order to receive the military benefits.
This is how their relationship starts. At first, they had to pretend they truly loved each other, but it wasn’t a long period of time, because Luke soon left for a mission in Iraq. Throughout his time there, her daily calls were the only ones that made him stay strong, so their bond grew. When he came back, their secret was revealed, so he almost lost his place in the army. You have to watch it to discover how their love evolves.
In my opinion, watching this drama romance film is a must, but prepare some tissues.

ReplyDeleteWhen our parents entered the house they couldn't believe what they were seeing. But first I’ll tell you how my day got to this moment.
Usually my weekend days start pretty late and bad. Today I actually woke up at 8 in the morning and I had a good feeling about that day. Choosing to start with a huge iced coffee while checking my messages from last night I thought about that day like being a special one. Honestly, I need to start to redo my schedule and to have mornings like that more often.
Little me did know that it was going to be the craziest day? Let me start with the beginning.
After a morning like in my romance novels, my friend decided to text me again because I didn't reply last night. I wanted to reply immediately, but an unknown number was calling. Of course I replied because I viewed it as something important. There was actually an old friend that got my number from their neighbor. My day really started well, I didn't know that I was missing that person until the moment I talked to him. It was a nice old feeling like a deja vu. Did he literally think about me all this time? Some hours passed and we were still talking until he hanged out.
I forgot to charge my phone and still didn't reply to my friend. In the evening someone was knocking at my door. It was my friend and she seemed kind of mad. I seriously didn't think that she will come at my house if I don't reply.
We started watching movies and she was hungry. She came with the idea of cooking biscuits together. I accepted because I was hungry too and my parents and hers were out for many hours and they weren't going to be home any time soon. We started mixing some ingredients together and actually our dough tasted good. We started baking them but something went wrong. In that time someone knocked at the door. Our biscuits were on fire.
Everything happened so fast and we couldn't believe too what we were seeing. But we were lucky because our parents solved everything. If they came home a little later, the fire would approach all over the kitchen.
We could say it was a crazy day and that we shouldn’t ever try to bake again, especially if we’re home alone.
Last year I had the most unforgettable holiday of my life. It would be an endless story if I’d tell you everything about it, but I’ll try to make a summary so you would understand how nice it was.
Maybe you think I travelled a lot during summer break and that’s why it was wonderful. But, unfortunately, the answer is no. Not the places I visited made it full of joy and irreplaceable, but the people I spent it with have done the most. I still remember mine and my friends’ late night walks and the way we would turn a room upside down while getting ready for an event. Going to theme parks, having shopping sprees, sleepovers and other activities were the ones that made sadness go away the whole summer. It was the first time I truly felt sociable and found people to have fun with, although some of them aren’t that close to me anymore. The memories we created will remain in my mind a long time from now, either if those people are still here for me or not. It’s fair to say my trips contributed, going to the seaside, different cities, camps, but I wished I would have travelled more than I actually did.
I think for the moment it was an unforgettable holiday, but I hope the next one will be even better, so this one would seem nothing compared to the last one.

I suppose it was not a good idea to leave me home alone with 3 younger children, for a whole weekend. My mother and father had gone on a trip to celebrate 30 years of marriage. But on the day they left, it was also the birthday of my brother, Mateo, who turned 9 years old. He really wanted a party, so I secretly organized one. The initial plan was to invite 4 of his friends and eat some cake together. But my boastful brother told the whole school that he would throw the biggest party ever. So, 40 children appeared in front of the house, at the scheduled time. They were all agitated, and they had brought some things that made me worry. Someone had brought a foam machine, someone else a swimming pool, a little girl had brought her cats with her, who as soon as they saw our dog, Fluffy, climbed all over the house. I tried not to stress, and went upstairs to take care of the 2 babies. In the meantime I fell asleep, and in the morning, when I woke up, I didn't find any more children. But the house looked as if it had been robbed. The TV was broken, there was food all over the floor, the furniture was knocked over, there was pink foam all over the floor, the bathroom was flooded with water from the pool next to the tub, the dog was full of mud and he had even killed a cat. I hadn't even been able to think about what had happened because the door was opened by mom and dad. They scolded us and then made us clean. In the end, we were punished for quite a while, but at least everything is over.
