  1. Have you ever wanted something so badly and tried so hard to achieve it? Well, I have. Academic validation has been really important to me since forever, but many people tried for a long time to make me give up on caring about school. I didn’t, though. Instead, I decided to prove to everyone, including myself, that my work will pay off and that I am better than most of them.
Now, I’ll introduce you to my journey about how I achieved what I told you previously. Last year, I changed schools. The colleagues here are the exact opposite of the past ones, they try their best to have only good grades and be better each day, so this thing motivated me even more.
The olympics’ organisation was announced last minute, but although I decided to give two of them a try and participate. So, the next two months and a half I focused on reading, composing texts and doing exercises. It wasn’t such a nice period of time, but after all the struggle, the days of the regional phases came and I placed the first on both Romanian and Maths, having a way higher score than the rest of participants. I was really happy and it was already enough for me, but I kept going. I had to choose one of them for nationals and I thought the Romanian one would be the best and safest option because I thought I had more chances to get a prize.
Nothing really happened between the moment I found out I was going to go to the nationals and the actual time I went there. I remember how heavy pressured and nervous I felt before the exam, especially before the oral speech one, because I get really anxious in those kind of circumstances, where I have to talk perfectly in front of people I don’t know. I still did pretty well and I had a good result, placing on the seventh place.
When I came back to school, everyone congratulated me. That’s when I felt at my best and that I achieved what I wanted. I’ll try again this year and, who knows, maybe I’ll be even better.
    Teo
