ReplyDeleteI haven’t heard anything from you this week and I don’t have anything to do at the moment so I decided to write to you.
I’ve been in the mountains for five days already. Now, I’m staying in my bed and I’m looking at this incredible view from my bedroom’s window while I’m thinking what to tell you about.
I skied in the morning and a bit after we had lunch. It was a great experience and I’ll miss it a lot. On Sunday, when we arrived, the first thing I wanted to do after checking-in at the hotel was to go see the ski track. We got there by car and luckily, the hotel is near the track, so we can walk to it. Immediately after we arrived, I realised I couldn’t wait until the next morning, so I put on my gear, bought a ski pass and got on the track. I fell a few times, but I haven’t practised since January so it’s explainable. There aren’t many cultural attractions in the area, because everyone comes here for skiing, snowboarding, sledding and ice skating. I don’t need more, though. That’s all I wanted from this holiday, because you know this is my favourite sport and I’m sad I can’t practise it more often.
Me and my little brother both improved our skills and we’re glad of that! I think he’ll soon get better than me an he only started last year while I am the one who started seven years ago. He falls more often and knows less than me about what he should improve, but he has an advantage. I’m scared of falling and getting injured or getting embarrassed because everyone around is so good and I am not, while all he cares about is having fun and getting really good at it.
Talking about the weather, it’s really nice. It snowed a couple times but it isn’t freezing, so it’s perfect because I can dress nicely sometimes. I got some amazing photos in the snow!
I’m coming home in two days and I’ll tell you more about it at school if you want.
